Golden Gate Bridge Northern Division
California Federation of Republican Women

|About Us| |Programs| |Elections| |Political Action| |Members Center|

The Northern Division Workshop is held in early January of every year. For the past 11 years we have met in Fairfield at the Courtyard by Marriott. Northern Division Board members have their first executive meeting of the year on the Friday before the workshop. All leaders from the clubs in Northern California should attend.

Leadership Guide will be handed out to all members in attendence.

The workshop reinforces the following ideas:1. Increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.

2. Inform the public through political education and activity.

3. Federated Women are not the fund raising arm of the Party.

4. Encourage like minded Republican women and men to join our club.

5. Support local community activities (Support our Troops Rally, Move America Forward).

6. Remember never refer to it as "The Pledge". Always say "Please stand for The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America."

We are pleased to announce that we already have two wonderful projects planned for 2009. The first is a fundraiser in which we will organize a dinner and a showing of the documentary film, Warriors in Their Own Words. The producer, Rex Pratt will speak on his experiences making this movie. With the money that we raise, MBRWF will provide two $1,000 college book awards which will be available to high school seniors or college freshmen. During these hard economic times, we want to help young people by contributing toward the cost of their university text books.
