Golden Gate Bridge Northern Division
California Federation of Republican Women

|About Us| |Programs| |Elections| |Political Action| |Members Center|

The Northern Division Workshop is held in early January of every year. For the past 11 years we have met in Fairfield at the Courtyard by Marriott. Northern Division Board members have their first executive meeting of the year on the Friday before the workshop. All leaders from the clubs in Northern California should attend.

Leadership Guide will be handed out to all members in attendence.

The workshop reinforces the following ideas:1. Increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.

2. Inform the public through political education and activity.

3. Federated Women are not the fund raising arm of the Party.

4. Encourage like minded Republican women and men to join our club.

5. Support local community activities (Support our Troops Rally, Move America Forward).

6. Remember never refer to it as "The Pledge". Always say "Please stand for The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America."

PARWF just recently celebrated its 70th birthday. Founded in 1938, the first president was installed by Mrs. Herbert Hoover, wife of our 31st President of the USA.

We hold luncheon meetings during the third or fourth week of the month. The dates vary as does the location. We do not meet in July or August.

Our speakers cover timely topics of political and educational value.

We promote the following objectives: party unity; election of Republicans to office; get-out-the-vote; education of our constituency regarding the important current political issues with the focus on becoming an informed electorate; and encouraging good and active citizenship. We also have fun together!!

Featuring monthly speakers from many sources in politics and education, including many from the prestigious Hoover Institution at nearby Stanford University, this grassroots organization meets monthly at the Blue Pheasant Restaurant overlooking the Blackberry Farm Golf Course in Cupertino on the first Thursday of every month except July and August. Activities are many, including voter registration drives and getting out the vote for local and state Republican candidates.
